Epis0de 94.5

Okay, so I haven’t done one of these in a bit, mostly because I’ve fallen behind with making DJ mixes (I know, shame on me) and a little bit because I seem to have recently developed an annoying sense of guilt whenever I feel like I’m phoning in an Epis0de just so I can fill my weekly publishing quota. I gotta figure this one out because it really is very annoying. But I’m back with another one today, and for good reason.

I wrote this Epis0de when my sister Maka and her very talented friend Phlow released the single Lose My Mind last year, as well as this one when the music video dropped earlier this year. Well, now they’ve only gone and released a collab album, and it’s really good.

Personally I’ve always been curious about the need to show a “hard” exterior to the world when you’re really a tender-hearted soul inside. I mean, who’s the performance for, really? Okay, so you don’t want to be taken advantage of, which is reasonable. Nobody does. But let’s say you let someone in, someone you think is worthy of seeing your “soft” side, and then they hurt you. What was the point of the defensive tactics in the first place? These are the issues.
